The Footwear 4 Kids initiative is a charitable project and social movement that encourages and assists community members, shoe stores, and corporate businesses to donate for a child in need of a good pair of shoes.

Footwear 4 Kids was founded by William Foreste Bourgault, during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He was cleaning out his closet and noticed that he had a few pairs of shoes that he had outgrown and wanted to donate. He then did some research but couldn't find an organization that focused on providing footwear at no-cost for children and youth in need in the City of Ottawa.

 

Footwear 4 Kids works closely with nonprofits to distribute the donated pairs directly to children and youth in need. For the last 4 years, with the support of our donors and volunteers, we've collected over 2500 pairs of shoes and have been able to provide footwear to hundreds of children and youth in Ottawa.
